Released just a few weeks ago, The Monterey Pine Forest is the product of hard work by The Monterey Pine Forest Watch including David T. Bates, Rita Dalessio, Nicole Nedeff, Joyce Stevens, Jeff Norman, Linda Smith and Jerry Emory as well as other local individuals, regional agencies and organizations.
Printed by Pine Nut Press and The Monterey Pine Forest Watch, this book features many photographs and watercolors by local Monterey artists as well as technical guidance about this unique ecosystem by naturalists, ornithologists, marine mammal specialists, herpetologists and biologists.
I am grateful to have one of my photographs included in this incredible guide to the diverse ecosystem the the Monterey Peninsula is.
Truth be told I was expecting a more technical oriented book but was thrilled to see this extremely high quality publication that could be taken out as a guide during a day hike or be just at home on a coffee table.
Well done folks! Thanks Nikki!
